Hi I’m Hayley, welcome to Hayley's Heavenly Scents, home of designer fragrances at unbeatable prices.
About our fragrances and where they come from…
Just like Martin Lewis said on his 'Money Saving Expert' show...
These fragrances are NOT copies nor are they fake.
How do FM give us such quality fragrances that smell just like the designer brand fragrances we treat ourselves to and wear only on ‘Special Occasions’?
A lot of the designer brands such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci and the celebrities such as Beyonce, Paris Hilton and David Beckham produce perfumes and fragrances. They are designers and celebrities and not perfume specialists so where do they come from and who actually makes them smell so amazing?
The actual perfumes are made in Munich, Germany, in the factory of DROM Fragrances. With a market share of over 80% they are the largest perfume developers and producers in the world.
DROM Fragrances designs and produces the perfumes you find under the names of designer brands.
How does this work?
DROM Fragrances develops about 100 different fragrances each day.
Let’s imagine that Chanel is planning to release a new fragrance on the market. They go to DROM and take a look at the new fragrances that have just been produced. They sample a few and decide that the perfume in Vat Number 2079 will be their new fragrance. They order 100,000 litres of the fragrance essence. The essence is then delivered to Chanel where they add water and alcohol. They decide to call their new fragrance for example… Coco Mademoiselle.
Designer companies and celebrities spend a lot of money on the design of their new bottles, the packaging, as well as advertising and glossy magazines, and of course engaging the latest beautiful model or actress on TV to endorse it. Actually sourcing the perfume from DROM is the least expensive part. All this money spent is recovered through adding costs to each bottle of perfume they sell and hence we mainly pay for the name on the bottle.
Chanel owns the name Coco Mademoiselle, they own their new bottle design and packaging, and of course the brand name Chanel and the distinctive logo but they do not own the essence from Vat Number 2079.
FM visits DROM Fragrances and purchases the fragrance essence from Vat Number 2079.
The question is, is this legal?
The answer is YES!
DROM Fragrances own the fragrance they created and produced and can sell it to whoever they like so FM are able to buy the same Vat as a designer brand such as Chanel for example.
FM Perfumes design their own bottle and packaging and give their new fragrance a number, FM18. Both the designer perfume (as an example Chanel Coco Mademoiselle) and FM18 are from the same Vat at DROM Fragrances. They contain the same fragrance notes.
What are the differences?
1. FM do not use the name Chanel, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Paris Hilton, etc, etc, etc, as this would be a breach of copyright.
2. FM give their fragrances numbers instead of names.
3. Chanel, Gucci etc, etc, sell their perfume as EDP or EDT, FM add less water and alcohol, therefore FM’s perfumes are Parfum (20% and 30% for women, 16% and 24% for men), which is stronger and therefore lasts longer.
4. FM does not spend a lot of money on designing exclusive bottles and packaging
5. FM does not spend a lot of money on expensive marketing campaigns where celebrities show up to present perfume. They do business through individual distributors.
I am so pleased to be sharing these stunning fragrances with you. In my opinion the bottles are simple and sophisticated and the perfume is made to the most amazing quality. I find it stays on all day and I often have comments on what perfume I am wearing. Well now you know!
